MIX

I tried searching the forum but couldn't find a section for newbies to introduce themselves, so I think a section/sticky thread should be established for this purpose as i always got flamed for bad "nettiquet" for posting willy nilly without doing this when I joined forums and communities before.

in case there already is one, then I apologise,

I'm Laurence, From Aberdeen In Scotland (Smiles and waves), introducing myself on EpicFU. I was aimlessly going through vids on youtube and stubled across Zadi Presenting an old Jetset show. And this has opened my eyes with what the net has to offer and how it inspires other people. as well as other people who have just done their own thing and have used the net to show other people. I have seen nearly all the ones hosted on "the tube" and can only discribe the shows as "shock and awe on a budget"

Keep up the good work Zadi & co. You've impressed me so I'll be sticking around for a while yet :D

And any other new members, introduce yourselves on this thread.

I'm Joey, originally from Puerto Rico, currently residing in Monterey. Two years ago I was working on a Bachelor's degree in English Literature, but I got sick of academia. I think the precise moment I needed a change of scenery was after giving a colloquium about emotes and no one got the joke. (ROFLcopter? Come on that's funny, I don't care who you are!) So I joined the Army. I still don't think people get the joke. I'm fluent in English and Spanish, and proficient in Korean, and in my spare time I like to get lost in Wikipedia.

Currently I'm working on a side project, studying different web publishing techniques, specifically for presenting poetry. There are so many different publishing formats out there, from regular websites, to blogs, vlogs and forums, each ergodic medium presenting its own challenge, benefit, and interpretation. I'd be interested to know people's opinions on cybertext, but more on that another day.

So, hi :)

Great idea - an introduction thread!

Come on in, the EpicFu water is fine! The old timers welcome you with OPEN arms. You'll find that this place is the friendliest place around. Great people, great ideas, great music and art.

Zadi and Steve are quite active on this site, so don't be surprised if you say something and get a direct response from them.

Also, check out the groups, photos, videos, etc.

PEACE!

I think it is GREAT that people "stumble" upon Zadi and Jetset / EpicFU and come a 'running to get more. I had the exact experience - watched one, two, three shows. Then all of them. Did some searching, found other works - and I was HOOKED.

I love the humor, style and energy that they bring to the web. They DEFINITELY have carved a new niche out, and this MIX forum proves it. So many people from so many places have come together peacefully. Very, very, VERY few flame wars and intolerance - this site is mostly self moderated. I think only SPAM has been taking down - not people opinions and speech.

So, feel free to speak your mind. Share some art. Share some photos. Share some music.

I say: Pass the Dutchie on the left hand side, mon.

Hi, I'm Matt. And I watch Epic Fu.

This is my second week on MIX. *Waves*

I am originally from upstate New York and currently living in Montana. Not too much else to tell, I work as a web applications developer (basically This Stuff) and I do a lot of gaming and TV watching. I have seen the show before, a few months back I stumbled onto it on YouTube one night and thought it was neat.

It wasn't until I started watching internet TV (Revision3) that I picked up watching Epic Fu again.

I have a number of current side projects that I'm playing with, including gearing up for some online video experiments and online network integration.
