We are all so busy with our days that we tend to forget about where we came from and the people we used to spend out time with. Knowing that I started asking my friends one question that would take them back, and sometimes it would be way back!
What is your favorite childhood memory?
-p.s. ha its been a long time mix, im sorry ive been gone for so long :D
I miss it also. It is truly a tragedy to drive by and see nothing but grass - not even cement - where it use to be.
I have never been to Disneyland until I moved to AZ in 2003. Since visiting (about 4 times now), I've noticed how close Astroworld was to Disneyland. They both have the town square in the entry where candy, photos, clothes, etc could be bought. They both have worldly towns where the different rides exists.
My favorite ride (ever) was Greased Lighting. After a little traveling, I found that other cities have coasters like it, but Astroworld was my first. It's almost the epitome of excellent ride engineering: exciting, lots of seats, fast turnover. I remember getting extra rides - by staying in the seats - on slow days, and running down the exits, only to run back the entry to get in line again, maybe in a different row.
Lol. Yeah, but old school Disney did have a serious impact on my childhood. A pretty good one too.
I still have an old storybook somewhere at home with Disney versions of popular fairy tales. They weren't as gruesome as the originals, but they weren't the watered down versions that Disney pedals these days.
