I was never brought up under any formal religion, so I have never been told whether or not to believe in God. There is no physical evidence to prove to me that there is such thing as "God", but then again I don't think God, as many religions see him/her is a physical entity.

There are some things that happen in the world that can't be explained. I believe in karma, where one's own deeds (or misdemeanors?) put some kind of energy into their own past/present/future. So, somehow, I guess, I believe that there is SOMETHING bigger than we can see, some kind of energy that we can feel, but we can't explain. I don't know if this is God, as others may believe, but I can't really personify this energy in the way that I see on TV. I can't call it "He or She", I think it is neither... but I have come to the understanding that this energy that I believe is out there... no matter what it is, it is what is CALLED "God".

I don't believe that this energy can dictate what I do in my life, though. I make those choices.

i can say with relative definity that im definatly not christian, but god is another, much larger matter. if god exists i dont think that he exists in a capacity definable by one set of morals or standards, as laid out by any major -theist religion. yes, there is little to no evidence of a God, and i personally dont really think there is one. but on the other hand, it is definatly possable that there was some higher being who orchistrated everything. the creation of the universe seems like something that diddnt just happen one day for no reason. everything has a reason.

Did me saying this have a reason?

I for one do not believe that is a god, but that does not stop me from going to church with my wife, as she is the most important person in my life and it makes her happy that i go with her.

I just remembered a line from the Woody Allen film Stardust Memories:

To you, I'm an atheist; to God, I'm the loyal opposition.

I was raised a Catholic, but personally do not believe in any form of God or higher existence.
I kind of lost faith aged 7 when I asked which came first, Adam and Eve or Dinosaurs and no one could give me a decent answer!
Lol ok, obviously there are other reasons why I don't believe, but none of them are as amusing...
I do, however, think it is possibile to believe in God to a point, it is just something that I find myself unable to do.

He exists when you want him to, and when you dont need him hes gone

thats a comfort i think people have to belive some thing can come into there lives and turn an event around

but to state my answer i do belive but thats just for me to make sence of things

how can you BE and then just not BE, i can only belive in a higher power to make me feel that this is not the case

How can you BE and then just not BE?

Why does there need to be a reason at all? You exist to further the species. Anything more than that is just to keep you from losing your sanity (or getting bored).

We're just animals, we are born, we live, then we die. Why does there need to be more than that? ("just because" isn't a good answer)

You live then you die. Pick a flower and watch it wither, it's the same thing.

Why waste energy in not even attempting to answer this question for yourself, but instead filling your head with nonsensical gibberish that doesn't answer a thing?

Comfort is something that makes us weak, mentally and physically. We have to be there for ourselves, we can not afford to rely on something we've made up for ourselves just to feel better. That's frankly quite lazy in all ways.
Comfort is convenience, and convenience is entirely unnecesary.
