Epic-Fu post processing?

Don't you guys love the way it's post processed?
I totally love it and I wonder what kind of programs are they using to do that, I usually use windows movie maker but that can't be compared to Epic-Fu's PP.

Anyone around here who likes to post process videos and if the answer was yes, what kind of programs are you using?

Hey Bashar,

Thanks for starting the conversation. We edit all the episodes on Final Cut Pro. I color correct everything on the timeline before it goes out. Just popping the color a bit helps a lot in giving it that little bit of extra polish. There are a few filters that we use on a regular basis.

I also use Motion to produce some of the graphics -- like the title graphics, etc.

I actually learned how to edit on iMovie and then moved up once I needed more features -- but it was a great way to get a handle on things.

If there are any specific questions, we'd be happy to answer them.

what would you recomend for a windows base editor thats easy to use, and that isn't so system demanding.

I'm asking because i have a college project and i wanted to make a 45 sec intro video where i could simulate a semiautomated house that had a serious feel to it. any ideas will be appreciated, and if you want to do it for me i would be even more appreciated.

I user Premier Pro in my dabblings, though I'm not sure if that gets to what you're asking.

Are you looking for an animation program? They're all pretty tough on a system, except Flash.

You could do it a number of ways, and all of them are going to be work-intensive, I'm afraid, as well as will require some "getting to know you" time with the interface as you find out how to make it do what you want.

"simulate a semiautomated house that had a serious feel to it"

What does this mean?

what i meant was that i want to recreate a "Smart or Automated Room" an example could be faking servomotor that close the curtains without having to move a finger.
And about the serious feel, i wanted to imply that i don/t want to have a too amateurish feel to the video, i don't want it to scream noob with a crappy camara.

You could use "Blender" (free 3d graphics/video editor) to add the curtains :S

Before switching to FCP on the Mac, I tested almost every major video editing package on the Windows platform -- and I can confidently say that Premiere Pro is the way to go. Sony Vegas comes in at a distant second.

I am going to get Premiere Pro, this is the second good review I've seen about it. Any idea if I can use it to add a logo or a photo on my videos?

Thanks Zadi for the reply, that was quick.
I didn't know that you PP the episodes your self, I thought you are just a crazy girl (in a good way) hosting the show LOL

Pity I am not a mac user but such progtams makes me think to "convert", I just had a windows crash and I had to format :(

We're having some problems

What would you recommend as the best encoding settings for publishing to Veoh, YouTube, etc... ?

We're using mpeg 4 - H.264 codec
640 by 480
25 frames per second
key framing every 150 seconds

but it doesn't look as good as it should once we have uploaded the video onto the web

Please give us some advise
i.e. frame rate, aspect ratio, codec, file type?

thanks

PowerDirector is fairly easy to use and its not that bad for price wise. Adobe Elements is a powerhouse and has a lot of tools but its very time intensive and damn expensive if you want to get all teh bells and whistles. I've tried out Windows movie maker but find it a little lacking in some departments though it is fairly easy to use.

I've been tempted lately to buy a Mac jsut for the purpose of editing as it seems they are MUCH better for this sort of thing. I just can't seem to get over the cost difference and how much more expensive they are.
