I also agree with the others on Antivir. If you want free antivirus, then go with Antivir. If you're going to pay for it, I say NOD32 only because its said to be lighter then Norton/McAffee.

Spyware blaster is also useful for blocking malicious sites/cookies for Firefox and Internet Explorer. It's one time protection, just immunize and forget about it.

I don't believe in using a separate firewall for Windows.

Spybot is also pretty good, especially with its immunization. Same with AVG AntiSpyware (trial for 15 days, then reverts to a freeware version) which usually finds at least tracking cookies. I also used to use Spyware Terminator until I started using Vista (Vista kept blocking it on startup). Spyware Terminator includs Realtime Protection all for free. I found it to be better than Windows Defender's realtime protection. You can have as many antispyware apps as you want as long as you only have one that monitors realtime (should be either spyware terminator or windows defender). However, for antivirus, only have one on your system.

CCleaner helps to get rid of junk and helps speed up scans with security software. Make sure to have updated programs using Filehippo's update checker found here http://filehippo.com/updatechecker/ or Secunia's Software Inspector found here http://secunia.com/software_inspector/. Last, using a safer web browser such as Opera or Firefox also helps.

lol. I just wanted to say, I will never ever buy a mtf windows pc...mac for live without any security software

I would install ZoneAlarm, but I've already got the Windows Firewall and the firewall built into my Netgear router.

I have been using McAfee anti virus (not internet security) + Spybot Search & Destroy for quite some time and never had any problems. I would always recommend a combination of these 2.
