because its a proven fact that people in NJ can't drive.... LOL... they love to go slow in the passing lane, or start to pass someone but then just sit next to that other person effectively blocking anyone from passing... they don't get out of the way when you signal them or yield to traffic entering... its an ongoing love hate thing between NY & NJ....

and since i have many NJ friends here is NJ's side... they say us NY'ers are way too aggressive.... (but if you live in or near NYC you need to be)

Haven driven in NYC numerous times, I can attest to the aggressiveness. But, exactly like you said, YOU HAVE TO BE. Otherwise, you never get anywhere.

But those slow/bad NJ drivers exist everywhere - NY, Boston, Texas, DC, Philly, Florida, Arizona, California, etc. I don't think that NJ has them all.

This is not flamebait (After all my friend Ron C lives in NJ), but a REAL question.

Rockland County, NY? cuz that where i live in new york and for us its much easier to just goto NJ for the gas.... no tolls to deal with...

oil price per barrel 15 dollars early eighties, now 105
and i think it was like a dollar at fifteen a barrel

Ron, I think you'd freak out if you had to pay West coast prices...

$3.19 is SWWEEET! I'd go outside, turn the car on with the AC on, and come back inside with THOSE prices!

Love the fact that I have a home based business but I plan on buying a bike since I need more exercise anyway. I've been walking a lot of places since last fall and really cut back on how much I use my car but it's been less about spending money on gas and more about getting away from the computer and walking and being healthier.

ok so i live in NY, USA, about 10 min outside NYC, and only 2 min from the NJ border.... where i live its 3.55 a gallon for regular, but my car needs super so for me its almost 4 bux a gallon, but instead i drive the 2 short miles into NJ and pay 3.35 a gallon for super.....

as for what i plan this summer, i don't let the prices bother me, since in europe people have been paying this much for many years and get more than double the taxes taken out of their pay (so less money in their pocket per week over what we get).... and they don't complain.... i still plan to drive where i want to go for vacations, and being my car gets roughly 33 mpg avg (2003 Acura RSX Type-S).... i won't be crying about where did the gas go.... so for anyone who's crying about gas prices, buck up. get a more efficent car and deal with it cuz there's not much gas left in this world... gotta be good with what we have left....
