Aight i realise this post is about a month off but maybe itl still help....or help others...

Agra - Taj Mahal
Amritsar - Golden Temple
Jaipur - Forts
Goa - Relaxing, beaches, dirt cheap alcohol :)
Delhi and Bombay pretty much for shopping
Kashmir - Amazing scenery or if you wanna get shot or blown up lol

Its a big country and has something for everybodys tastes.....it would help to be more specific as to why you are going.......spiritual reasons, sightseeing, culture, food, cheap liquor??

yup quite a good place....stayed there for about a year when my dad was in the navy
