DC is not the place I'd want to be, kayak oars or no. The seat of government usually doesn't fare too well in those situations.

though a streampunk zombie apocalypse would be an interesting premise to survive.

I always worry about zombies when I'm walking my dog at the park. the best I could hope for would be to make in into the press box by some miracle of acrobatics and manage to raid the concession stand every once in a while. unless of course, the zombies find me. then I'm just totally screwed, like the old man who climbed up the pole in tremors.

i would gather as many as my friends non zombified together and then get to a building with enough area to move around in and probably a second story. a super mall or mall strip like eastgate mall would be a good place. that way we had food drinks and plenty of things to use as weapons.then send people out in groups to survey the place and check for zombies and look for any possible entrance and then seal it or fortify it enough so zombies cant get in. then every once in awhile go and look for survivors in a big van to carry supplies ammo and plenty of survivors. then bring them back to the mall and we would all make a stand for as long as possible. then if worse came to worse toughen up some cars and evacuate to a more secure place like in dawn of the dead. eventually we would die out or win but at least we would take a good number of zombies with us

Well in 28 Days Later a guy turned from having a drop of blood from an infected body get in his eye. So I'd have to go with transmission through bodily fluids.

That means use a condom kids....
