OMG I am gonna DIE if I don't get an IPHONE!?!

July 11th is the release date and I'm about to pee my pants with excitement, who else is lining up ready to get a peace of the action??? and before you make a harsh comment... i know what other people think of the iphone and how much it 'disappointed' them but we'll keep that to a down low =)

No AT&T where we are (which I'm not going to complain about) so, no iPhones around here. iPod Touch looks pretty neat though, so that will probably be my next upgrade when It becomes time to retire my current iPod.

Saw the plan in Canada, and it was actually expensive enough to make the excitement die. No unlimited plan, and at least 80 bones a month. No thanks.

I pay 75 on my regular plan/month for my unlimited text only plan. Everything is so cheap in the states isn't it? Housing, gas, phones, we'd be living large if we lived down there.

well Australia's telecommunications companies recently released pricing on the new 3G Iphone - it will be $749 - $859 AUD outright which is pretty ridiculous when you think about the current exchange rate... looks like I'll be buying from America direct.

I thought the same thing, when watching the mac conference the big boss dude (can never remember his name) said $199 US, no more. The conversion to date is around $210, but the outright iphone is a gob smacking $749. I read into it a little more and found the loophole to which the Australian company's are using. The iphone is $749 for a prepaid service, but if you wish to have it for around $249 you must be locked into a contract for at least 12 months =O. I'm annoyed at that cause being only 16 i cant go under a contract =( and so I've done allot of chatting with parents and so far atm I'm jumping for joy =)...

LMAO - you are cracking me up. Don't DIE just get the phone and share your joy when YOU get it! I hope you put on a diaper if you think you are going to PEE in your pants! 8) I want one too but I have to see if my service provider here in America which is AT & T has it. But, I think I may want until next year. I

I'll be lining up for 24 hours outside the Vodafone Store in Wellington, NZ (Before the rest of you can get your hands on one! Time zones rock). I'll be twitting the fun and first hands on, username: DylanJay.

Yeah I'm gonna drag my dad down to the plaza and cap there for the night just to get my hands on one (is it just me or is that a little obsessive...)

I like my Pocket PC. I've had one for 5 or so years now and I no longer carry a laptop on business trips since it is so functional. My latest is the Audiovox xv6900.

For me the biggest advantage of the Pocket PC over the iPhone is the Transcriber (handwriting recognition) feature. I can sit in a meeting and take extensive notes, quickly writing in cursive, in MS Word. I also use the 2 mp camera to record many aspects of my trips. A picture is worth a thousand words!

I also like the fact that there are thousands of programs available for the MS Mobile platform.

Oh yeah, the phone cost me $299 USD (I see prices have already come down) and my monthly plan with unlimited internet is $40 per mo.

Or smoke signals! Hey Michael, I use technology to help me be more efficient so I can spend more time in the bush.

Well, I do carry it in a dry bag whilst adventuring. And I plan to buy a solar charger one of these days.
