What really gets you through the day? For me I not proud but not ashamed to say was my pain from others and failure. It always just drove me to always prove everyone who ever doubted me or made fun or me anything wrong. I use to put all that stuff on my back and just carry it with me. My question is do you think that’s a good thing to do I mean I don't release it through hate (more than less) I just mean should I just let all that stuff go?

I rarely need anything to drive me. I want to do things, I work out how to do them and get on with it.
In some ways I crave power, I want to influence the world around me and I rarely feel that I am not doing this to some extent.

Many people wear a cross around their necks. I wear my tags, something I have in common with many of my friends, people that are like family to me, the arbiters. When I feel alone, I just put a hand to my chest and feel my tags, they're always there, always. They link me to them, in some ways. They don't always wear theirs, although some do, but it's a physical token of who we are.

I know exactly what drives me and what most people refuse to accept because they've been hurt one to many times. They've been disappointed by the very people they respected and loved so much. You thought the world held all of the answers and yet everywhere you looked you only saw confusion birthed out of hypocracy and lies.

I myself allowed people and the world to influence me. This caused me to make decisions that I am now still recovering from emotionally, mentally and physically. I believed my pain was significantly incomparable to those I socialized with. Yeah, I loved the world more than I loved myself so I remained in darkness, content with being blind and deaf to the truth.

You see, we know it's there all the time but we continue to blatantly ignore it hoping that the next technological advance or "Best Selling Book" will cure us and reveal the truth of what we have known or recognized at least once in our pitiful lives.

Open your eyes! It's there, but because we are not mature enough to visually manifest it, because we choose not to wait on it with patience, and endurance, and with love in our hearts, it remains hidden, not because it's hiding but because our hearts are not opened to understanding and receiving it.

So go ahead, I invite you... Lean your head back, put your hand over your "dog tags", which incidentally probably rests right over your heart and repeat these words, from your heart, "Dear Heavenly Father my heart is opened and my mind and soul belong to you. I am willing now, at this very moment and from here on out to receive all that you have said is for me.

I believe you, and I trust you and never again will I forget you.

In the name of Jesus I thank you for grace, love, peace, patience, understanding, and remaining consistent even when I was not. For these things and so much more I give you praise honour and the glory, in no other name but the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

Now I know what many of you will be thinking in your hearts about what I just wrote but know that I typed truly out of love all of these things and that I was lead by something greater than anything you or I could ever comprehend.

Deuteronomy chapter 29 verse 29 says "The secret things belong unto the Lord our God but those things that are revealed belong to us and our children, forever".

I know to many of you I may seem out of line but this is what we have all been called to do in our own unique way.

I pray you have been blessed by it.

p.s. The Holy Spirit is what drives me... What do you think is driving you?

Oooor maybe I'll decide my own philosophy.
You can keep your religion. Don't you even DARE try and tell me I am ignorant of Christianity. You could say I'm ignorant of the ins and outs of Hinduisim, but Christianity I know very well.
As one of my best friends put it, he feels he is one of the best ambassadors for the university society he is a member of (a Christian Union) because of the fact that he's fairly normal. He's not preachy, he's not fanatical. He's just reasonable and doesn't try and convince anyone else of his beliefs.

You are out of line.
This is why:
"I know exactly what drives me and what most people refuse to accept because they've been hurt one to many times. They've been disappointed by the very people they respected and loved so much."

I've been hurt by lots of people, sure, but nothing I haven't survived without too much damage. However, small disappointments aside, the few people I choose to love and respect haven't let me down.
I don't need some imaginary friend to make the world seem less bloody awful.

It actually frightens me how many people believe in religions like Christianity, rather than believe in themselves and actually get their minds and world sorted. Yes, pray for things to get better.. You do that. When you're done with that perhaps you wouldn't mind lending me a hand with this..?

You see, we know it's there all the time but we continue to blatantly ignore it hoping that the next technological advance or "Best Selling Book" will cure us and reveal the truth of what we have known or recognized at least once in our pitiful lives."
People who believe that a book or a device will make things all better are as foolish as those who believe religion will make things all better. The way you talk about your religion makes it directly comparable to these quick-fix things.

As I said to begin with, I am well-informed about Christianity. I've studied it for many years, both in school and in my own time. Knowledge is power, after all. What I've read and seen leads me to wish there is some delightful afterlife and how there's some order to the chaos that is our world. But to be honest, the amount of times the supposed "Word of God" has been translated and interpreted, whatever remains may well bear only a passing resemblance to the originally intended message.

Don't even get me started on the people who take the Bible literally.

First allow me to apologize to anyone I may have offended in anyway. What I said was said purely out of love and was directed to no one person in particular and was only meant with the best intentions. We were all born with the right to choose and I choose to do the work of the Father, where ever and when ever I am lead to do so.

God Bless you and keep you in the name of Jesus.

Matthew 10 : 34-36 says (34) "Think not that I am come to bring peace on the earth, I have come not to bring peace, but a sword. (35) For I am come to set man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. (36) And a man's foes shall be they of his own household."

Peace on earth will not come to pass until the day of Christ.

Amen.

I'd also say that nothing drives me, I know what I want and do what I have to do to get where I want to get. Maybe, there are people who have their own will and others who need something more coming from what surrounds them, people, negative or positive experiences...maybe, that's how it works.

Prob so I don't know sometimes I don't think the negative should even be turned into a positive because it ends up becoming negative in some way again get what I'm saying??

Yes, I get what you're saying, but it seems that for some people it's the only way and they can't get to find another one, and I wonder if you don't have neither your own will nor any experience giving you that "strengh" to do what you want to do, then what does remain ?? Looks like we're in the deadlock.

What?? Of course you should let it go, eventually if you keep it all bottled up it's going to come out the wrong way.
