Sooooooooooooooooooooo this is what I'm think about.

I watch shows like WebbAlert as a part of my daily routine and to go from getting a daily dose to a weekly dose of JetSet just seems to leave me saying, "That was it"? Now I think JetSet has a couple of things on webbalert like an active community. If Jetset were to morph there current show into a daily one and spread the segments of Ryan's food and Anne's DIY over the course of a week it may work out decently.

I don't think I would mind the weekly episodes of JetSet as long as there was more comprehensive coverage of events and stories. It kills me when I get stuff I heard on Webb Alert on JetSet since JetSet only comes out once a week. Webb Alert stands a better chance at covering more news.

What do other peoples think?

i dont know about daily but bi-weekly would be pretty sweet

it's a question of quality over quantity, that's all.

Hmm.. I personally don't like webb alert. I've seen it but eh. strange for me to hear all the postive reviews.

Anyway, i do ache for a longer jetset. whether that means daily, or bi weekly, or longer individual shows, i tell ya, i was hankerin for monday to roll around. haha.

I think when you watch a tv drama and its an hour a week, is sufficient, but we get about a few minutes a week. when you compare em like that...

No biggie though. once a week is just fine for me. now if i had some damn headphones i can watch this week's episode at school.....

We think it's so great that you guys want more of JETSET however you can get it. How awesome!

Coincidentally enough, we have had some internal rumbling about going daily at a certain point. We'd love to do a daily show, but as Frank said, it's just Zadi and myself with Rick supporting our efforts. We need to be able to grow and have a staff like Webbalert does in order to make something of quality each day.

We also have plans to spin off the DIY.JETSET and EAT.JETSET segments into their own shows eventually. That may be a few weeks away, but that's the direction we want to go. More programming and more stuff across the board.

Whoops - I accidentally posted this under Zadi's account. I was in there this morning because she's the one who has access to change the sidebar graphics. Sorry for any confusion!

I think we should keep the one week schedule. A lot can happen over a week (new ipods - weeky game - burning man - etc), and they can use that for the segments. If it was daily it would be hard, and it's only Zadi and Steve...I think they should have a DIY and EAT every week...

Better to love it and want more than to overload and lower the great quality!

I think Webb Alert survives on 3 or 4 people working on it part time. So I would say part time = 4 hours a day. I'm thinking one is the writer, second is the video editor/web dude, and the third is Morgan Webb.

The writer writes the copy which is usually made up of stuff that's already written combined with junction material that ties the stories together. This could possible done by Morgan herself. Then there is the film dude who shoots, does graphics, and uploads.

Whenever you get down to the day to day then your really have to sharpen your processes in order to maximize efficiency.

"Eat Jetset" and "DIY Jetset" are interesting concepts which I think would be neat to adopt into a Monday or Wednesday to get people started for the week or get the over the hump. Putting Eat Jetset and DIY Jetset on 2 of the days frees up a couple of days for the regular Jetset and cuts a 5 day show into more like a 3 day show. Maybe you come up with a few new topics. Like "Game Jetset" and "Code Jetset" and then you have a Friday show featuring Zadi. All of the shows related to the source for all internet things pop culture or your internet pop culture source. :-p

Has there been a discussion as to why JetSet is on a Monday? JetSet usually mentions a lot of things the "went on" opposed to things that are "coming up"? Friday shows usually have the ability to give a recap of the week but you probably get a lot better footage from an event that happened over the weekend. Why not have both?

Anyways... there seems to be two solutions. More daily shows or a longer weekly show.

Regardless, it's not like I'm going to stop watching.

I would love to see more JetSet. It's the best video on the web right now, imho.

But as someone who helps put together a videoblog that publishes daily, I can say that I know how hard it is to keep a tight schedule *and* keep quality up. I would hate to see JetSet sacrifice quality just to see Zadi's pretty face more often. :-p

A show like WebbAlert comes out every day but it's a much simpler show. The writing is fairly straightforward. The shot of Morgan never changes. The edits are simple and seem to be done with live broadcast gear (that makes things so much easier but then it looks like tv. Ick.) Compare these things to an episode of JetSet. What Zadi and Steve and Rick do is much cooler, much wittier and much more complex.

JetSet is cool because they pick great stories and they tell them well. I would rather have that then more information delivered less eloquently.

And if ultimately what you want is more JetSet, do what I do -- watch the show twice. ;-)

If anyone knows the trials and tribulations it's Kenyatta and our friends at Rocketboom. Watching them deal with all the issues of a daily show is one of the things that's made us think so hard about how we can manage to provide the quality they do on a daily basis.

It's so much harder that it looks. Soooo much harder. The last thing we'd want to do is go daily for a few weeks and then burn out. Like Yatta said, the show would suffer and then ultimately we'd be back to our old schedule.

But I think if we plan it carefully we can figure out what might work.
