Dizzy treasure island for the Amstrad it was the one of the best side scrolled games of its time I had more fun back in the 8-bit days than I do now.

My first game was BATTLETOADS!!! It was on the Nintendo NES, and is still one of my favorite games in which you get to beat up kangaroos.

I played Arkanoïd on a Thomson TO7-70 around 1990 (this platform was close to death when I first put my hands on it). Games were on tapes, but that was fun.

And I'm pretty sure young folks can't imagine what it is to rewind a game. Nor a 5 minutes load-time.

The first video game I really got into was a little game called Half-Life. Now I'm waiting for Half-Life 2 Episode 3 to finish up the series.

Good old Super Mario on the NES, I remember back then I didn't have a console, I had to play with friend and I SO envied them, now I have Super Mario on mi Wii all form myself yeah!!

When I have children I bet they're going to get a good laugh at the games that used to amuse me when I was a kid.

the first videogame i ever played was contra on my sega.....we talkin old scool here....i absolutely loved that game man especially playing co-op!

I have never played video games other than a wii at my freinds house. My famliy house has never felt the desire to buy any video games.

First I ever played was Super Mario bros. for the nes. I played it with a cousin at his house. When we was playing, I found out you could pause the game with the second controller when the first player was playing. I waited till he jumped over lava and paused/unpaused it, causing him to die, :D. This was also the first and only time I have been punched in the nose. I guess he took Mario seriously.

I believe that one of the first games I played was Giana Sisters on the Commodore 64. It was at a friend's house, and a couple of years before I got a computer / game system of my own, hence I don't remember exactly. My friend had a myriad of games.
The first game I played my own system was Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, which came bundled with my Commodore 64.

My first game was Super Mario Bros. for the NES, but I was so young that my only vivid memory is of the infinite lives staircase turtle shell trick. My first fully memorable game is Super Mario 64 (never got around to all those stars...), but I get teary-eyed and nostalgic over The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. That game inspired me to work hard at everything I did, because the puzzles were challenging for an elementary-aged child. Ironically, it also led to a video game addiction that resulted in almost nothing ever being completed in the real world :P
