(choreographed, look for jissen (duel) for sparring matches)

its, IMO different to most martial arts as we use our footwork to get around our opponent, evade attacks to open up a quick counter attack, and do somersaults, rolls and fliips

well if you like quick moves, ass kicking techniques, gravity defying flips, you'll like taido :)

i do this indian art form called GATKA its mainly sword and other such weapons but we train in some hand to hand combat as well but everything is based around the sword and such weapons....check it out!!

how in the world do they deflect thrust and slashes, its not humanely possible!

haha i wish we had the force but theres a technique to it all...im not as good as those guyz im only into it like a year now.......ive only just mastered my foot movements and catapult thrusts....but yea takes alot of practice....theres hand to hand combat as well but mainly for use when ur sword gets knocked away so you can get it back....ur video was awesome by the way bro im gonna look into it more!!

Well, I used to practice Tae-Kwon-Do and I loved it, unfortunately I haven't been able to train for a while and most certainly I have lost all practice. I look forward for the day that I train again.

i would recomend you check out capoeira, its a brazilian martial art brought from african slaves. you can go very traditional with capoeira angola o very acrobatic with capoeria regional.

I've been doing Gendo-Kai Karate since September 2003 and I'm vurrently a 3rd kyu brown belt. I would have gone into martial arts earlier, but I never had the opportunity.

It's a life goal of mine to get to black belt level in that style.

I've considered doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu alongside Karate once I reach black belt because then I would have good stand-up and ground skills.
