What's your best love story?

I just read about nygirlofmydreams.com - you know the guy who saw the girl of his dreams on the subway but didn't manage to catch up with her, so he posted a drawing describing her on the web asking the public to help him find her.

Apparently the trick worked, after just a couple of days one of her friends contacted him and sent him a picture of her. He managed to get in touch with her and they went off on a date, which eventually lead to a romance.

Stories like that just make me warm =)

So I was wondering if you have any sunshine love stories to share - about you or someone you know?
If you're seeing someone, how did you meet?

I can start out with one of my stories:

I was sitting outside my building playing the guitar, it was a warm and sunny day in early june before the term had ended, when this gorgeous girl passed by in a bikini, carrying a blanket and sat down, not too far away, to sunbathe. I thought "Damn, better keep it down, wouldn't want to disturb her."

After about 10 minutes, she got up and started walking towards me, and I thought "Here it comes, better pack up and leave, she's probably had enough already." But imagine my surprise when she sat down next to me, smiled and asked me if I could play something for her.

It took awhile for this to register, I must have had a very stupid expression on my face - but eventually I did manage to play something, and it turned out she really enjoys singing. We spent that afternoon out on the grass playing and chatting and then she asked me if I wanted to come to a party later that evening. I did, and after that party, we were a couple.

This was definitely one of my best experiences with love =)

So tell me yours!

I have one.

I was attending a technical college, with no real aspirations of meeting anyone. I'm disabled you see, I have a rare condition that makes my joints dislocate easily and my parents had done a fantastic job of convincing me that I would forever live a single life in their house, of course with mommy tending to my every need. Makes me sick now to think I was actually content with the idea of never being an independent adult, but you'd be amazed what our parents can convince us is in our "best interest" and for our "well being".

Nevertheless, I refuse to dwell on that, but instead on the day that I had shown up to take the final for a class, what class I forget because as I sat there in my seat a tall brown hair guy walked in sporting a stylish goatee. He paused eyeballing me then headed to a seat on the opposite side of the room near the back (later I would find out I had taken his seat). I was noteless for this final and hurting for a clue as to what we'd be tested on and since we were the only two students around, I asked him if I could take a peek at the notes he wasn't studying. He didn't mind and so we started studying together (I obviously moved to a seat opposite him of course).

We left the class and the school didn't meet again for two weeks, I was in a 2D class that was too early in the morning for me to make so I changed it to an evening class, and as I walked or rather, wheeled into the classroom, there again was that tall brown haired guy sporting the goatee. He quickly moved his stuff next to my computer and we talked as we worked all night.

A few days later, a movie had come out that I wanted to see. As I was doing some work as President of the Student Council, in walks the brown haired guy sporting the goatee, this time wearing a very nice suit. Now, I'm an army brat - I'm a sucker for a man in a suit. Catching him at the elevator, I asked him out to the movie to which he eagerly agreed to go (despite not really wanting to see the movie).

The next day we met up and set out for the movie. Neither of us daring to hold the other's hand throughout the entire flick, but when the movie ended we skipped class to go to another movie. We simply didn't want the date to end. After that movie we strolled into class late, which set our friends buzzing. After class, I could have sworn we stood at my car talking for ages. It was there I hit him with my harsh reality however. While I was having fun, I've been hurt too many times to walk into relationships blindly now. I've been dumped too often by guys who just can't 'handle' a disabled girlfriend. So I explained to him about my rare condition and that if this was going to work he had to accept it all unconditionally. He had to accept the Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, ADD, everything...the doctor's the bakers and the candlestick makers. He chuckled, and shook his head telling me that none of it mattered to him. I don't think I've ever felt so loved for myself that.

In ten years time, we've been poor, had our winfalls, we've had fantastic times and really rough ones too. But in an hour's time as he come's home from work, through the front door will walk the brown haired guy (who once sported a goatee in college), whom I call husband and soulmate.

Wow, absolutely amazing story, I'm so glad for you =)

It's wonderful how things that seem like a big deal in our own minds really don't matter at all when seen through the eyes of love. I think that this is a property of true love - seeing everything about a person and loving it.

It's like that song by Alanis Morissette:

'You see everything, you see every part.
You see all my light and you love my dark.
You dig everything of which I'm ashamed,
there's not anything to which you can't relate.
And you're still here.'

Again - great story, thank you for sharing it with us! =)

thats actually a pretty cool story dude, im glad to hear a random female turned out to be friendly enough to hang out & create music with you, thats great to see

my latest story was me waiting on the Wantagh, NY Long Island Railroad platform waiting to goto Manhattan to help out the tribute band Almost Queen as their drumtech, a few teenagers were inline skating & droppin some decent grinds on the bench on the platform, got their fresh website of them filming them skating which i couldnt find just now looking for it on my-space page, we get on the train, they wind up sitting near me, conductor yells at them to take their skates off continuously while theyre listening and taking them off, i stand up for them telling the conductor to relax, conductor threatens to get police to kick me off the train, i laugh in his face, ignoring teh conductor talkin shit to me i just i spot a gorgeous female sitting next to the skaters i say 'whats your name?' she says "Natalie" i tell her then "i think you look good" - skaters leave the train, i ask to sit next to her, we chat, we wind up hanging out once, it was awkward, we hang out a 2nd time and we goto her first hockey game, new jersey devils @ new york islanders, it was fun, we hang out a couple more times, we did sex which was actually quite nice, it just didnt work out at all, it wasnt meant to be, she looked simply awesome naked, piercings all over, tattoo's, jamaican decent & speaks the language as well, life goes on & i remain single like the last 9 months of my life-

myspace.com/anthonymichaelangelolanza means more to me than anything as of this point in my life trying to make a living off of the music

I held a party for all my friends one blesseth night mid 2007. I'd figured that no new faces would show up, but then a friend of mine phoned in and asked if he could bring some friends of his, which I approved.
Once they arrived they asked if they could bring some ladies over, and of course I sad yes.

While fully absorbed by the greatness and happiness of my party, a pair of the most beautiful deep brown eyes pierced into mine. I just had to sit down by her, and so I did. We chatted away, and from that moment forward, it felt that we had known each others for a whole lifetime. Heck, later that evening while heading for town I held my arm around her like a gentleman, and later that night we would make out for hours on end, totally unaware of the commotion and action around the bed.
Interestingly though both of us were completely sober ;-) Our romantic (and erotic) relationship growing stronger by the day.
