Wii + Other consoles

ive got one and hardly ever play on it

what other consoles do people have

A Xbox360 for the Hardcore Gaming: Halo, DoA, Virtua Fighter, Bioshock (i have it for Pc and Xbox)
and a Wii for the classic gaming. i had to get rid of all of my old consoles and the Wii lets me play all the games that i miss like pokmon snap and sonic, and (of course) Zelda ocarina of time. I think the Wii is the best thing out; ▶ Reply to This

Just wanted to say that I bought a Wii on launch date here in Japan. Then 3 months later, I sold it, when I realised that it was a novelty item and really didn't have any serious long term appeal to *real gamers*, especially with the lack of games that were available at the time (though seriously, that hasn't improved a great deal, has it?). I had Zelda. I couldn't be bothered finishing it though, mainly because the entire game just *sucked so badly*.

Sure, the Wii is fun for a bit when you have friends round; in a frat house; or for a family that's into playing games together (worrying). But when you get home after a hard days school/work, and just fancy jumping online and getting together with some mates to pound some random terrorist ass in COD:4, well the obvious choice is the Xbox360....

Since getting my Xbox360 when I sold my Wii, I have been nothing but pleased. I swear it opened my eyes back up to what real gaming was, something I had forgotten since my days at high school and university. That is even taking into consideration the fact that my Xbox has been sent in for repair *twice* in the last 6 months! In fact, I commend Microsoft on their handling of the massive hardware failure, they have always sent someone out to pick it up the next day, and sent a repair back with a free month of xbox live~

By the way, I also had a Nintendo DS for a while, until I realised that too was a *novelty* . Nintendo's strategy is the same as ever - make a name for itself, get in the news, and sell to moms and grannies. It's all about the branding. It's just a shame they can't spend some of the millions they are making on improving the hardware or making a half decent game once in a while.; ▶ Reply to This
