The Holy Terms Of Service can Answer Your Question.

Dear MIX Members,

As we continue to grow, and as JETSET gets a bigger and bigger audience, we want to try and keep the same intimate spirit that MIX has enjoyed so far.

Lately we've had a few members join who are not on the same page with those thoughts. So, it's time for a Terms of Service to be posted on the site.

These Terms of Service will be used as a guideline to member behavior on MIX, and will utlimately be a point of reference that we will need if we have to delete a discussions, blog post, video, photo, or whatever.

There are some obvious ones:

1. NO ADS. Self promotion is fine -- we all have cool projects we're working on that we want people to check out. Ask them to do so, don't just post links to crap no one wants to look at.

2. NO ABUSIVE OR HATEFUL POSTS. Racist, sexist, homophobic, or uselessly profane posts get axed.

3. CONTRIBUTE. If your posts don't fit items 1 or 2, but just ask dumb questions without contibuting to all the great stuff going on here, it goes bye-bye.

Please use this thread to post YOUR IDEAS about what should go into the MIX.JETSET Terms of Service. This is *really* important to the future of MIX. We all want to protect it because we have such awesome people here. There are plenty more out there who can be awesome members, too.

Ultimately, Zadi and I will decide about what gets deleted or who might get banned. But please, please, please send me a message through MIX if you have a complaint about a member, a post, or anything happening here.

So let's hear it -- post your ideas about how you want this site to operate and well boil it down to a short page with our living Terms of Service.
