I say legalize it. Smoking is legal and alcohol consumption is too. Marijuana has the effects as these drugs . And plus you can't get addicted. I personally don't believed in doing drugs , but if you do I say smoke marijuana because its natural. and doctors prescribe to their patients .

nice thats what i believe too
i don't smoke personally but i don't understand how they can legalize a poison like cigarettes yet they wont legalize a less dangerous, natural herb like weed..it just doesn't make sense

i think we have an old discussion relating to legalization of marijuana but IMHO i reckon it should be decriminalized like it is here in New Zealand so you can have a limited quantity on you and even if you exceed the limit then you only get fined as it only counts as a civil not a criminal offence....again decriminalisation NOT legalisation which is different!!

yeah that sounds more reasonable..in the Netherlands its only legal if you do it in smoking areas that are for the use of marijuana like there are parks and bars where you can smoke but nowhere else unless its on your property and again its only a certain quantity

Only foolish people who smoke weed don't do anything with their lives. Its no the drug its the person. If you choose to sit all day and smoke thats your decision. You are more then capable of getting up and doing something.
Blame weed instead of the actual person themselves.

In the Medical Sense:
Vicodin is legal for prescription, but Marijuana still is not.
Amphetamines are legal for prescription, but Marijuana still is not.
Barbiturates are legal for prescription, but Marijuana still is not.
We even prescribe Radiation to people, but the thought of prescribing Marijuana is supposed to be bad?

In the Relaxation/Recreational sense:
People can smoke cigarettes, yet Weed is still illegal. (Lobbyists the difference here?)
People can drink alchohol, yet Weed is still illegal. (Lobbyists the difference here?)
People can smoke Salvia Divinorum but not Weed? Wtf?

What is so bad about the legalization of Marijuana? The only possible harm I can think of, that affects anyone other than the person that uses it, is if the person is driving high and gets in a crash. To solve that harm, the same type of no Driving Under the Influence laws could be applied. BUT ZOMG WE DONTZ WANT PEOPLEZ TO EAT A BUNCH OF CHIPS AND DEN FALL ASLEEPZ ON DERE COUCHEZ! THATZ ALL BAD LETZ OUTLAW MARIJUANA ZOMG ZOMG IMA "DRUG" NAZI DO AS I SAY OR DIE!

Just fucking Legalize it.

I'd love to be amongst the "free the weed" mob, but I don't believe it's likely to be legalized in our lifetime. The fact is Governments can't totally tax it, because anyone can grow it without special equipment or chemicals. Decriminalization, like in the New Zealand model, is probably the ideal way forward when it comes to a progressive stance on weed.
